Product description

He’s half-god, half-mortal – and in a whole load of trouble! Disturbed, dyslexic NYC kid Percy never asked to be a half-blood: half boy, half Greek god. But when he finally meets his dad – scary god Poseidon, bringer of storms and earthquakes – Percy goes from playing basketball to battling monsters, fighting to stay alive! At first life doesn’t seem too bad at Half Blood Hill, the Long Island summer camp for young demigods where Percy is sent to start his training. But now that Zeus, God of the sky, thinks Percy has stolen his lightning bolt, things are going VERY WRONG INDEED. Can Percy find it before a war of the gods erupts? From an award-winning writer, this wickedly funny adventure follows its flawed boy hero into a world of excitement based on the Greek myths.

Percy Jackson is actually a demigod which means that he has one mortal parent and one godly parent, in his case-Poseidon. In this adventure he tries to retrieve Zeus’, the king of the gods, master lighning bolt. I would recommend this book to older readers from 10-16

I would highly recommend all the books in the Percy Jackson series. When my friend told me about this book, I didn’t think it sounded like a book I would really get into, (I was highly mistaken)so it sat on my bookshelf for a couple of months. So one day I was really board, and I thought I would attempt to read it (again), and after I read the the first chapter I was hooked! Usally the first chapter of a book is slow and a bit boring, but not this book. This book is perfectly paced. If you read my comment, thanks so much! :)

Percy is a normal 12 year old boy, or so he thought. Percy finds out he is the son of the Greek God Posiedon. Percy has been framed for stealing Zeus’s(God of the Sky)Master Bolt and must clear his name while battling famous greek monsters along the way. Read this book if you love Greek mythology or even if you don’t!

I have read all of Rick Riodan’s Percy Jackson books but I like this book because this book can only introduce Percy so well. I would give this book 9/10 because it’s a bit scary and a bit adventurous as well.
