But in that instant, the electromagnetic pulse hits; sweeping through the sky, frying everything it touches. Killing billions of people – and changing all the others, for better or for worse. Some survivors have gained superhuman senses. Others have acquired a taste for human flesh. Hard to put down

Ashes was incredible! It has so many twists that you just never saw coming. I love the way that some of the characters are made to be so evil and two-faced. I wish I could find out what happens after the book ends, it’s left on such a great cliffhanger. The story line was so luring that it even influenced my dreams at times . There were points in this book that were so interesting that I had to carry on reading and it was hard to put the book down. At some moments you felt sad for the other characters because of the desicions made by the main character. The emotions were written so well.
