Have you ever wondered what the world would be like in centuries to come, well this is the book for you! In the far future an organisation called the SQ have taken over the world, changing history for the worse! But do not fear as Dak’s parents invent a time travelling device called The Infinity Ring! After, Dak and his friend Sera are taken away to the secret headquarters belonging to a society called the Hystorians, they are recruited immediately. The SQ then invade the headquarters and Dak, Sera and a boy called Riq escape and end up in Spain in the 1490’s on the Santa Maria where a rumoured Mutiny (that is not supposed to happen) will take place. Can they stop this daring act?

I was on the edge of my seat for many parts of the story but the following scenes really stood out for me: Dak, Sera and Riq are put into prison, Dak and Riq are Injured badly, Dak is thrown overboard and almosts drowns- what other suprises will you find?

My favourite character is Sera, although she is a girl (who are not allowed on the Voyage) she manages to sneak onto the ship, overall she is very feisty, ferocious and great at fighting and ends up winning a few duels, she is also good at science- what more could you need out of a character. I also like Dak as he shares the same interest as me, history!

Although this book lacks description of characters and settings I rate this book a big fat 9/10 as it is full of “on the edge of your seat” moments, daring stunts and also a great cliffhanger. I`m looking forward to book 2.

I read the book really quickly because the story was not only thrilling but also had so many unexpected twists and turns. I was afraid that something would happen to Dak, Sera and Riq when I was not reading.
