Our Turquoise book band pack is perfect for children with a reading age of 7-7.5.

Each reader is carefully levelled to build children’s reading confidence through the gentle introduction of new words, characters and themes. Turquoise level readers focus on:

• Increased use of contractions – I’ve,can’t,don’t
• Building familiarity with dialogue and speech
• Meaningful illustrations to support the story
• High interest themes such as danger, courage and kindness are introduced
• Repetition of up to 250 high frequency words
• Average word count of 250-350 words per reader
