Our Purple book band pack is perfect for children with a reading age of 7.5-8.

Each reader is carefully levelled to build children’s reading confidence through the gentle introduction of new words, characters and themes. Purple level readers focus on:

• Identifying silent letters, common prefixes and common suffixes
• Increasing sentence lengths
• Meaningful illustrations to support the story
• Topics such as activities and sports are introduced to keep children engaged
• Repetition of up to 250 high frequency words
• Average word count of 250-350 words per reader
