Scared this won’t match up to The Bunker Diary? No fear. This is dark, real and funny like only Kevin Brooks does it. Fear. It’s all in your mind. The only thing you have to fear is fear itself. Blah blah blah. None of these fine words are any use to Elliot. He’s sick; sick with terror, all the time. Only his special pills keep the fear away. But now it’s Christmas Eve. Elliot’s pills are gone, so Mum pops out in a snowstorm to get more. But she hasn’t come back. (She’s probably only be 400 metres away. It might as well be 400 miles.) Now Elliot’s got to face his fear and find her. At least he knows his enemy, hey? Except: what if the danger isn’t just in Elliot’s mind…?
- The gripping new psychological thriller from Kevin Brooks
- A portrait of mental illness mixed with a nerve-shredding mystery
- Kevin won the 2014 Carnegie Medal for The Bunker Diary
- His other books include Martyn Pig and Black Rabbit Summer
This book contains mature content and language more suitable for older readers.
