Product description
Charlie loves chocolate, but his family are so poor that all they can afford to eat is cabbage soup… until Charlie wins a golden ticket to Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, a place of undreamed-of flavours and unimaginable inventions. The chocolate factory is a marvellous place, but it also has secrets. Why does no-one ever come out? Who are the Oompa-Loompas, the tiny, singing workers who make the delicious sweets? And what spectacular surprise has Mr Wonka got in store for Charlie? Roald Dahl’s best-loved book is a dream ticket into a world where fantasies come to life. From rivers of chocolate to the exotic Oompa-Loompas, Charlie’s journey is the greatest treat a child could possibly imagine!

on 2 March 2012Charlie and the chocolate factory is brilliant, pure brilliant. Roald Dahl tells the story so well, that in some parts its hillarious, and some parts you want to be living in the book. All the names of the chocolates were intriguing and sounded delicious, and I liked it alot more than the film, because it was all left to each persons imagination. The illustrations were also a wonderful extra to the pages every now and then :D

on 24 February 2011This is really, really, really, really, really, really, really cool! All the descriptions of the chocolate, the sweets, the chocolate waterfall! And to add to that there is also an amazing storyline about a boy who finds a golden ticket by complete luck. It is also really funny because it shows all the bad children what they deserve! Love this book and have got the ‘Tim Burton’ film too! Read it!

on 27 February 2010Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a great book about a nine year old boy called Charlie. He is very poor and one day he hears about Mr. Willy Wonka and his closed chocolate factory. One day, he hears about golden tickets hidden in chocolate bars. Augustus Gloop, Verucca Salt, Violet Bauregarde and Mike Teavee find the tickets first and Charlie finds one. He goes on the adventure of a life time.
Have you read this? Then read Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator (The Follow – On)
