The Little Book of Traditional Tales

The oral tradition of fairy tales makes them a fantastic genre for storytelling without a written text. This wonderful little book aims to promote storytelling within the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping children to participate actively even before they can read. It contains a range of timeless tales from around the world, paired with activities which foster active learning and shared thinking. Each of the featured stories has a central theme or moral message that can be used within a PSED context. You’ll also find a mix of activities, ideas for interactive displays, related songs and rhymes, and links to other resources.
