    Epic romance!

Cover: I searched for the cover and was quite surprised to be honest. It looked pretty old fashioned! But I still liked it though the characters didn’t look like the picture in my head. I like the fact that there are planes in the background as this reflects that its set in the time of the Spanish Civil War.

About: Felix is a young nurse who is in pursuit of Nat, an ardent man who’s joined the international brigades. But George is in hot pursuit of Felix. Felix decides to follow Nat to the Spanish Civil War which Nat is unaware of. Also George who is Felix’s brother’s friend has also travelled to Spain, what a coincidence!
Each of them have difficult choices to make when shocking events enfold. A moving book.

What I thought: I think the book was an epic romance filled with history and drama! I liked the fact that it had a crossover appeal so you could see the story from all the characters point of view. To tell you the truth I expected this book to have far too much romance for my liking but it wasn’t too bad. I thoroughly enjoyed it! My only problem was that at some points I wanted to put the book down as it got quite boring.

I would recommend this to readers age 13+
