A punchy comic-flavoured tale of a superhero chicken. We love it like Dav Pilkey’s Kat Kong. It will help you to read better. It’s pecked – sorry, packed – with superhero action. (There’s even a cool Beakmobile.) And the amazing colour pics on every page are bursting with dramatic cartoon fun. Evil has struck the city of Fowladelphia. POOF! Feathers fill the air and shivering naked chickens are everywhere. Why have all these chickens lost their feathers? Now the poor things are forced to wear woolly sweaters. Kung Pow Chicken must save the day. It’s funny, it’s fast-paced and there’s a really evil villain too.

Lexiles are the global standard in reading assessment. They are unique as
they are able to measure a child and a book on the same scale – ensuring
the right book gets to the right child at the right time.
