My Teen Book of the Month this March is The Bone Spindle. Our protagonist Fi is busy running from her own deadly curse when she pricks her finger on a spindle. This reimagined fairy tale is the first in a series from debut author Leslie Vedder. A fractured twist on the classic Sleeping Beauty story, this is perfect for fans of Cinderella is Dead and A Curse So Dark and Lonely. It has a brilliant feminist twist of a female treasure hunter rescuing a sleeping prince, and also includes both male/female and female/female romances. It’s also what we call a “Clean Teen” novel, so the content is appropriate for all teenage readers.
