Romantic but realistic
I found River to be a really romantic character but still somewhat realistic. I think that the way how she really wanted to be Juliet in the play is not to be in centre of attention but because she can truly relate to the character and she wanted to recreate the emotions which she often dreams about... I found River to be really passionate about love and how much she craves it. I think that the way Sophie Mckenzie linked the play Romeo And Juliet into this story is amazing considering that its a fantastic romance play that is suited perfectly into what the book is meant to be about, love. However, River's dreams of being Juliet were crashed once she auditions for the part, Emmi her friend gets the part since once River meets Flynn she can barely concentrate to deliver the lines of the script. Overall I think that the story might be relateable to a lot of teenagers who crave to be loved but I think the way it is presented is a bit cliche since it somehow seems a bit unrealistic but that might be only my point of view!
